Students prepared for the End-of-Module Assessment, which we will take tomorrow! Below is the study guide, complete with answers (in blue).

Students closely read "The Key Elements of Mythology" (p. 51 in the workbook) and the myth of "Prometheus" (p. 61 in the workbook) and identified locations in the myth that related to elements mentioned in "The Key Elements of Mythology."

Students completed a Venn Diagram (p. 50 in the workbook) comparing the texts "Shrouded in Myth" (p. 2 in the workbook) and "Cronus" (p. 44 in the workbook).

Students learned about allusions and themes and completed a close reading of the myth of "Cronus" (p. 44 of the workbook).

To provide greater background information for The Lightning Thief, students began learning about Greek myths and analyzing the difference between gods and men. The main text that was used is called Myths & Legends and is linked below. Additionally, students reviewed gist statements.

Students learned about The Hero's Journey via a TedEd video and guided notes. Students also compared "The Hero's Journey" to The Lightning Theifl

Students completed comic strips about what they had learned from the first 4 chapters of Percy Jackson. These are due by Friday.
